Telugu Desham Party leaders and lakhs of admirers of legendary Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao across the world were demanding a statue of their leader to be installed in the premises of Parliament from last five to ten years. Finally, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has reportedly agreed today to install the statue of TDP founder and former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao in the premises of Parliament.

This demand has been especially raised several times by Telugu Desam Party and also by NTR's daughter and Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari. According to sources, the Parliament's Secretariat has written a letter to Purandeswari informing that Speaker has given her nod for NTR's statue in the Parliament's premises. This is great honor for our Telugu Tejam.
