A. R. Murgadoss of Ghajini fame with Aamir Khan & Asin has confirmed Akshay & Parineeti for his next Bollywood directorial venture.

“My next film is the Hindi remake of Thuppakki with Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra for producer Vipul Shah, which should start rolling by December” said A. R. Murgadoss.

A complete action entertainer, the story of ‘Thuppakki’ is about an Army captain and the film is set against the backdrop of Mumbai.

Thuppakki featuring Vijay & Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles opened to positive reviews from both the critics and audiences. Thuppakki was also a Diwali release and released same day as Bollywood films Jab Tak Hai Jaan & Son of Sardaar
